Raymond C. Bershtein’s expertise is in the areas of real estate, banking, general business matters, municipal tax liens, finance and philanthropic governance and administration. Ray’s real estate practice includes the acquisition, development, permitting, financing, leasing and disposition of retail, office, multi-unit residential and industrial projects on behalf of developers, investors and lenders throughout the United States. He has substantial experience in negotiating, restructuring and, if necessary, litigating issues related to indebtedness incurred in connection with distressed real estate and other businesses. These responsibilities have included the analysis and implementation of a variety of strategies designed to maximize recovery in litigation, arbitration, bankruptcy, regulatory, and other proceedings. He also represents a variety of entities, families and entrepreneurs regarding business formation, acquisition, disposition, capitalization, dispute resolution, ownership, succession and related issues. Ray is a former President and current member of the Executive Committee of Ezra Academy in Woodbridge, Connecticut and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven. Ray is admitted to practice law in the State of Connecticut and the District of Columbia. He received his J.D. from George Washington University’s National Law Center in 1983 and his B.A. in Political Science from Emory University in 1980.

Jedd Mendelson focuses his practice exclusively on representing management in labor and employment matters. Jedd’s practice also includes employment counseling and diversity training, as well as advising companies with respect to work force strategy issues arising out of mergers, acquisitions, and other business ventures. Additionally, he is a frequent speaker before trade and human resource groups. Most frequently, Jedd works with clients such as manufacturers, distributors, hotels and restaurants. Mr. Mendelson received his J.D. from University of Michigan Law School and a B.S., from Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Christina has been active in the private equity industry for over 20 years and has held senior level positions in independent and institutionally-backed private equity funds. For BancBoston Capital, BankBoston’s $3 billion private equity arm, she oversaw all marketing and communications efforts in the U.S., London, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, and Hong Kong. For Capital Resource Partners and, later, Brown Brothers Harriman’s BBH Capital Funds, she created the business development function and ran the firms’ deal origination initiatives. At MedEquity Capital, a healthcare-focused private equity firm, she served as a principal and then VP of Sales for one of the firm’s portfolio companies, a globally distributed consumer health products business. Prior to entering the private equity field, Christina was a staff writer for Fast Company Magazine, the Harvard Business Review spin-out backed by U.S. News & World Report. Christina is a graduate of Amherst College, cum laude, where she was a two-sport captain in field hockey and lacrosse.
